The 5-inch Sprinkler-Guard is built for the big ones - large rotary heads, commercial heads, and oversized pop-ups up to 5 inches across. It's the same patented flexible Advance ABS with UV deterrent as the original, just sized up. It absorbs mower and trimmer impact while concrete donuts crack, break, and sink, and the disc inhibits grass and weed growth around the head so you can always find it and it sprays properly.

1

Clear the Grass

Clear the grass 8 to 10 inches around your sprinkler head to make room for the guard.

2

Slide In

Insert the Sprinkler-Guard tube alongside the head and press the disc flush with the ground. The guard should sit slightly above the sprinkler head.

3

Done. You're Protected.

Pack the soil and you're set. For a polished finished look, top it off with a little fish gravel around the sprinkler head.

"Finally, no more broken heads"

I was replacing 3-4 sprinkler heads every summer. Put these in last spring and haven't replaced a single one since. Best money I've spent on my yard.

"30 seconds and done"

My wife asked why I was so excited about sprinkler guards. Then I told her how much we spent on repairs last year. She ordered a second pack.

"Should have done this years ago"

Installed the whole yard in about 20 minutes. The grass was already growing over some of my heads and these stopped that completely. Simple and it works.

Common Questions

The 5-inch Sprinkler-Guard is made for larger heads up to 5 inches across - big rotary heads, commercial heads, and oversized pop-ups. If your heads are 3 inches or smaller, the original Sprinkler-Guard is the one you want.
About 30 seconds per head once you've cleared the grass. Clear about 8 to 10 inches around your sprinkler head, slide the Sprinkler-Guard in alongside it, and pack the soil around it. A 20-pack takes most homeowners an afternoon for a full yard.
No. The guard inhibits grass and weed growth around the sprinkler head. That means you can always find your heads and they stay clear for proper spray coverage.
The sprinkler pops up right through the center opening and sprays normally. When it retracts, the guard keeps protecting it. Doesn't interfere with spray pattern or coverage at all.
Count your large heads and rotors. Most yards have fewer big heads than small ones, so a 10 or 20-pack usually does it. Bigger property? The 30-pack drops to $8.33 per unit.
